Lidingö Municipality operates 18 municipal preschools with different educational approaches, varying groups of children and staff, as well as unique facilities and work schedules. What unites us is the mission to lay the foundation for lifelong learning, based on the Education Act and the preschool curriculum. We are seeking substitutes for four of Lidingö's municipal preschools: Brevik, Högsätra, Skärsätra, and Torsvik preschools. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a preschool substitute teacher at one of our preschools, you work together with and under the guidance of regular educators. You participate in the activities and instruction that take place during your time at the preschool and are engaged in the children's play and learning, where you contribute to a rich and meaningful day for all children. As a substitute, you are expected to be flexible and able to step in where needed with varying tasks and sometimes on short notice. You help lay the foundation for lifelong learning through children's influence, participation, and desire to learn. QUALIFICATIONS Since you may be placed at different preschools during your assignment and we are constantly developing, we require that you as a person are flexible and can easily adapt to different situations. Previous experience working with children and/or in preschool is a merit for the position. The work requires a good ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish. As a preschool substitute teacher at our preschools, you are expected to have good interaction and approach with children, guardians, and colleagues. You are relationship-building and put children and their different needs in focus. You are welcome to have a playful spirit to create playful situations with children and inspire with new ideas. The municipality applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement. According to the Education Act, you must provide an extract from the police criminal record before employment in preschool, school, and other work with children.
