Our operations Region Uppsala is seeking a Research Coordinator for the Innovation Unit, which is part of the Department for Planning and Development at the Management Office. The position is 100 percent and reports directly to the Director of Research and Innovation. As a Research Coordinator, you will have a central role in coordinating, developing and quality assuring Region Uppsala's work with research administration, research monitoring and research-related processes. The role involves many contact points and requires the ability to work independently, in a structured manner and with a good understanding of both research conditions and public sector organizations. Your assignment In this role, you are responsible for coordinating and supporting key processes within Region Uppsala's research and innovation area. This includes research support, research funding, research prizes, research accounts, statistics, monitoring and collaboration between the region's various administrations. You work closely with the Director of Research and Innovation and have an important function in creating structure, continuity and progress in the work. The assignment includes both ongoing administration and more qualified case handling, analysis and coordination. As a Research Coordinator, you will, among other things: • coordinate and develop administrative processes within research and innovation, • contribute to planning, implementation and monitoring of research-related annual cycles and processes, • prepare and quality assure materials for decisions, monitoring and reporting, • coordinate work on research accounts, statistics and analysis, • support monitoring of research funding, research projects and research-related initiatives, • coordinate collaboration between administrations, operations, researchers, managers and external parties, • contribute to a comprehensive overview of research initiatives within Region Uppsala, • contribute to developing routines, working methods and common structures within research administration. Your qualifications We are looking for someone who has: • relevant academic education in, for example, social sciences, economics, political science, medicine, nursing science, public health, administration or another area that the employer deems relevant, • experience of qualified case handling, administration, coordination, process management or investigative work, • good ability to structure complex information and drive processes with many stakeholders, • experience of preparing reports, decision-making documents, statistics or monitoring, • good understanding of public administration, documentation and decision-making processes, • very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, • good digital administrative skills. It is meritorious if you have experience of: • research administration or R&D-related work, • healthcare, university, public sector or other large knowledge organization, • work with research funding, calls for proposals, monitoring or operational reporting, • collaboration between different operations, professions and organizational levels, • statistics, analysis, annual reporting or operational monitoring, • development of administrative processes, routines and working methods. Your competence To succeed in the role, you need to be structured, thorough and self-driven. You have good judgment, high integrity and the ability to manage processes where both details and the big picture are important. You enjoy a role with many contact points and can communicate clearly with researchers, managers, administrators, auditors and external partners. You are good at creating overviews, prioritizing and driving work forward even when several parallel processes are taking place simultaneously. We particularly value that you are analytical, responsible and solution-oriented and that you have an interest in the importance of research for the development of healthcare.
