The operations are divided into 4 strategic areas: exhibition activities and researcher communication, research and education, technical development, and innovation clusters, supported by a central support organization. Visualization Center C, the Media and Information Technology (MIT) department at Linköping University's renowned research and development unit Applied Visualization, is now seeking a Research Engineer in development and support with focus on interactive data visualization and data analysis. About the job You will be involved in exciting implementations of both internal and external projects, serving research, production and education at Visualization Center C, Linköping University. However, the primary focus is case management and development within InfraVis (infravis.se). You will work as a developer with focus on new advances in machine learning, deep learning and visualization, where the use of advanced visualization of real-time data is in focus. You will also work nationally with InfraVis as competence support to strengthen Swedish research with you and your colleagues' visualization expertise. You will be involved in several research projects and external projects as the operations are in an expansion phase. You will be part of the Applied Visualization group at LiU/Media and Information Technology and in a broad collection of visualization experts with varied and complementary competencies. About you We would like to see the following qualifications, knowledge and qualities: Engineering degree (Bachelor or Master in a computer technology field or equivalent technical education/experience) Experience in design and implementation of interactive visualization tools for AI/machine learning-based data analysis Very good programming skills in both Python (for data analysis, visualization and backend web development) and JavaScript/TypeScript (for visualization and web development) Experience with visualization libraries and tools such as D3.js Experience with frontend frameworks for web development such as React Experience with research infrastructure workflows and tools, including coordination in the TOPdesk system Creativity, enthusiasm and teamwork Very good English in both speech and writing It is meriting to have experience in information design, real-time graphics and/or VR/MR.
