Research Engineer in Precision Medicine – Temporary Position

Responsibilities We are seeking a research engineer to work with sample handling within the framework of large-scale sequencing at the forefront of precision diagnostics. The work is conducted in a team with broad interdisciplinary expertise and access to a laboratory with modern and advanced infrastructure. The role includes: Handling incoming samples, performing quality control and library preparations for large-scale DNA and RNA sequencing (NGS sequencing) Working with pipetting robots and other laboratory instruments Documenting results in the quality management system and communicating with collaborating partners Performing laboratory maintenance (cleaning, restocking consumables, etc.) Qualifications Requirements Completed master's degree in molecular life sciences, such as biotechnology, biomedicine, molecular biology, biochemistry, or equivalent competence. Experience with laboratory work using molecular biological methods (course laboratory work is not relevant). Experience with large-scale DNA sequencing (NGS sequencing) using Illumina technology. Ability to adapt to new situations and personal qualities that support a flexible working approach. Personal qualities that promote collaboration both internally and externally; you are good at building strong relationships with different groups of staff. Fluent English in writing and speech, as required in daily work. Meritorious Experience working with pipetting robots. Experience working with LIMS. Experience with quality management systems or work in accredited activities (ISO17025, ISO15189, or equivalent).
