The position is located in the CIRCLE research group - Intervention Research in Health and Care. CIRCLE hosts the transdisciplinary, strategic research program U-CARE, http://www.ucare.uu.se. The overarching objectives of U-CARE are to: increase psychological well-being among those affected by illness by developing, testing, evaluating, and implementing evidence-based, individually tailored and cost-effective behavioral interventions for healthcare; and improve the efficiency, benefit, and value of clinical trials. Citizen participation is a central part of all research within CIRCLE and U-CARE. All research within CIRCLE and U-CARE is conducted through national and international collaborations, and our expertise in research methods has been recognized in recent evaluations of research at Uppsala University. Responsibilities The person we are seeking will work with ongoing research projects and administration within the CIRCLE research group and U-CARE. The research projects involve developing, testing, evaluating, and implementing complex interventions for patients and/or their relatives. Tasks may include recruiting and communicating with research participants; collecting, managing, storing, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data; assisting researchers with applications for research funding and applications to the Research Ethics Committee; supporting the research group leader and researchers in organizing meetings and writing meeting minutes; supporting the research group leader with PhD course administration. The person will also work with patient and citizen participation, which is a central part of all activities within CIRCLE and U-CARE. The work may encompass other tasks. Qualifications Required The person we are seeking should: Have a degree at an advanced level in public health, global health, psychology, sociology, nursing science, or a related field. Speak and write Swedish fluently. Have excellent ability to speak and write English. Have excellent ability to take initiative and solve problems, deliver according to agreed-upon goals and timelines, prioritize tasks, and be thorough. Have excellent ability to work professionally independently and in groups in a collaboration-oriented environment and communicate with colleagues from different disciplines and professions. Have a strong interest in transdisciplinary research and motivation to be an active member of a successful research group. Have good knowledge of and previous experience working with both qualitative and quantitative research methods as well as software such as NVivo, R, SPSS, Stata, and MS Office. Desirable/Meriting Qualifications The following are meriting: Experience collecting and analyzing data and writing awarded research funding applications to funders and approved applications to the Research Ethics Committee. Experience writing scientific publications. Interest in continuously contributing to the development of activities within CIRCLE and U-CARE. Interest in continuously contributing to the good working environment within CIRCLE and U-CARE. Knowledge of and experience working with patient and citizen participation in research.
