We are seeking a research assistant for a fixed-term position in a research project at the Department of Behavioral, Social and Legal Science.
About Us
At the Department of Behavioral, Social and Legal Science (BSR), education is offered at undergraduate and advanced levels in criminology, psychology, law, and social work. BSR also conducts leading research and research education. We are now seeking a research assistant for an ongoing research project in psychology.
Job Responsibilities
The position involves responsibility for and coordination of a new data collection within the "IDA Program". The IDA Program is a longitudinal research project that began in 1965 with the aim of understanding people's adaptation processes from a life course perspective. The program aims to contribute knowledge about the mechanisms that govern individuals' development, health, and well-being from childhood to old age. The project is conducted by researchers from Örebro University.
The research assistant will work together with the project leader and research group to organize and coordinate data collection, assist in contact with research participants, help with retrieval of registry data, documentation of the project, and coding and management of the data material.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or another relevant Bachelor's degree suitable for the project. Experience with data collection, coordination of research projects, and database management is advantageous. Experience working with data from the IDA Program is advantageous. You must have excellent ability to express yourself in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
You have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and can independently plan and organize work. Great importance is placed on your personal qualities, ability to work independently, and to meet other people in a trustworthy manner, as well as demonstrated good collaborative skills.
Relevant coursework or experience is advantageous. We expect you to be flexible and open to change and to work with quality consciousness and responsibility. The candidate is expected to be based at Örebro University campus.

The position is fixed-term for 10 months at 50%, with start as soon as possible. Örebro University applies individual salary setting and, where applicable, probationary employment.
