The Centre for Person-Centred Care (GPCC) at University of Gothenburg is a national interdisciplinary research centre established in 2010 with support from the government's strategic initiative in healthcare research. Currently, around forty research projects are underway focusing on person-centring in various chronic conditions and healthcare organization. GPCC is located at the Department of Care Science and Health, Sahlgrenska Academy. GPCC is seeking you to work as a research assistant alongside your own studies. A research assistant works as an assistant to researchers and assists with varying tasks related to an ongoing research project.
We are recruiting four research assistants for a time-limited assignment lasting six months starting in December.
Duties
You will serve as a project assistant in one of the ongoing research projects conducted within GPCC. This means you will be assigned tasks that the project can offer, such as entering research results, compiling literature reviews, attending various meetings, etc. You will be supervised by researchers during employment. You will participate in the research project to develop interest in continuing research after graduation and will gain valuable insight into the university as a workplace. You may also be assigned to the location where the research is conducted.
Qualifications
The minimum requirement is that you are admitted to a program at basic or advanced level at University of Gothenburg for the entire employment period. Preferably, during autumn term 2026 and spring term 2027, you should be completing term four, five, or six at basic level or studying at advanced level.
Language requirements include knowledge of Swedish and English. Depending on the various projects' tasks, strong knowledge in one language may be advantageous.
Previous academic courses and degrees, interest in research, experience with similar tasks, completed credits, and grades will be considered in the assessment.
Work as an assistant requires good organizational skills, communication skills, collaboration skills, flexibility and attention to detail, as well as high service standards. Good interpersonal skills are important as we at the centre work from a person-centred approach.

Employment
The employment is time-limited for six months with a work commitment of 20% and placement at the Department of Care Science and Health. Start date December 1, 2026, and ends May 31, 2027. The employment is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 5.
Interviews will be held on the afternoon of October 22 and October 23.
