The Eye Clinic and Ear-Nose-Throat Clinic are university hospital units, which means we are required to deliver healthcare, research, and education of the highest quality. We are looking for someone who wants to support the continued development of research, development, and education within eye and ear-nose-throat healthcare in Östergötland. You should be able to create interest and engagement in R&D&E matters and have substantial experience and knowledge in research and educational activities. As an R&D&E coordinator, you have many contact points and feel comfortable in your role as an active player in both local and public external arenas.

Job Description
In this role, you are responsible for coordinating and supporting central processes within the clinics' research and education. This includes research support, assistance with applications for research funding, and monitoring of research. You coordinate the clinics' educational assignments and ensure quality.
Work Tasks:
• Actively work in the clinics' R&D council, which drives strategic R&D matters.
• Actively work in the Eye Clinic's education council, which drives strategic educational matters.
• Coordinate clinical studies and ensure that responsible physicians and research nurses are connected to all projects.
• Actively serve as a bridge builder between researchers active within clinical and experimental projects within the region and Linköping University.
• Support and mentor researchers who want to begin research.
• Disseminate information about ongoing calls for research grants and support employees in the application process.
• Provide support for employees in applications for ethics review of research projects.
• Develop and implement parts of the clinics' educational assignments for future employees.
You are part of both clinics' R&D councils and the Eye Clinic's education council. The operations manager at the Eye Clinic is your direct supervisor.
About You
You have a PhD in a relevant academic field and have experience with independent research after your doctorate. You have experience seeking and obtaining research grants in competition. Experience participating in clinical studies is a merit. You have documented teaching experience within a medical faculty. Experience with pedagogical leadership or development work is a merit.
You are analytical, structured, and thorough. You collaborate well with others and can create engagement. You express yourself very well orally and in writing in Swedish and English.

The position is based at the Eye Clinic and is shared with the Ear-Nose-Throat Clinic. A probationary period may be applicable.
