About the role
We conduct applied research in close collaboration with Swedish industry, including within infrastructure, materials technology, process, energy, and automotive industries.
As a researcher, you will:
work on research and development projects that solve real industry problems
gradually take on more responsibility - from project components to project leadership
receive support and mentoring from senior researchers and specialists
develop both technically and professionally in a safe and learning-focused environment
An important part of our activities is also educating the next generation of welding engineers, in collaboration with KTH and the Swedish Welding Commission. Here you have the opportunity to contribute your knowledge and learn about new areas along the way.
Who are you?
As a person, you are curious, engaged, and want to learn. You enjoy collaboration, like taking responsibility, and are happy to share ideas and knowledge with others.
We especially welcome you if you have:
Welding engineer competence, IWE and/or several years of experience in joining/welding
Master's degree in Engineering or PhD in materials technology, production technology, or a similar field
Good communication skills in both Swedish and English
Meritorious (but not required):
Pedagogical interest and/or experience in mentoring/teaching
Previous experience with project management
Experience with applications for public funding
