Job Responsibilities
The Department of Building Technology, Energy Systems and Environmental Science is now seeking a researcher in energy systems. This is a permanent position with 20% time commitment.
The main responsibilities include:
Research and supervision: Supervision of PhD students in solar energy within RESILIENT.
Applying for external research funding: Active participation in seeking external research financing for projects and research programs in solar energy in collaboration with other universities, research institutes, and the private sector, both nationally and internationally.
Collaboration: The work includes building and strengthening relationships with external stakeholders in solar energy, such as companies and other universities. Experience from companies in the solar energy sector is required (both photovoltaic and solar heating).
The place of work is Gävle, and most of the work time is conducted at the campus, with close collaboration with colleagues, students, and external partners.
The employment is financed by time-limited research funds during the period.
Qualifications
To be employed as a researcher, the following must be met:
PhD in energy systems with specialization in solar energy.
Documented experience and knowledge in solar energy is essential, particularly in the PVT field.
Documented experience in project management and collaborations with companies in the solar energy sector is required, both photovoltaic and solar heating.
Documented experience of participation in EU-funded projects.
Ability to independently initiate and conduct research of high scientific quality.
The applicant must be able to express themselves well in spoken and written English.
As an applicant, given the nature and responsibilities of the position, you should have good collaboration skills, take initiative, be good at making contacts and maintaining relationships.
