Duties
The position is broad and varied, with responsibilities for all ages and different aspects of parish life, and you will have the opportunity to shape the content to some extent based on your own interests and competencies. There is both opportunity and expectation that you as a priest will contribute to developing the activities. The duties include among other things:
Services and church ceremonies
Work with confirmation students
Special responsibility for the Kållandsö part of the parish
Qualifications
Ordained priest according to the Church of Sweden's procedures and firmly grounded in the Church of Sweden's faith, doctrine and practice
Good experience of working in parish activities
Good ability to communicate and cooperate with people of all ages
Openness to ecumenicism
Experience of working both independently and in teams
Digital competence and experience using IT in daily work

About Sunnersberg Parish
The parish encompasses both urban and rural areas. Proximity to Lake Vänern, Läckö and Spiken makes the area attractive for both permanent residents, summer residents and visitors. The church is an important part of local life by offering meeting places for all ages. Approximately two-thirds of the residents in the area are members of the Church of Sweden.
The parish has a rich church tradition, with six of the eight churches having roots in the 12th century. Five churches are kept open daily during summer and all are regularly used for services and church ceremonies. Every Sunday mass is celebrated at Kyrkans gård–Lockörn as well as an additional service in one of the parish's churches or parish halls.
Parish facilities are located in Otterstad, Sunnersberg and at Kyrkans gård–Lockörn, where the office and preschool are also located. The staff team consists of about 30 employees, including preschool staff and church sextons. The finances are sound and there is volunteer engagement, although with a relatively high average age. Cooperation takes place with nearby parishes and pastorates, including in confirmation activities, discussion groups, baptism bookings and property matters.
