About the Position
In your role as parish priest at Ryds Parish, you will have the opportunity to carry out priestly duties and also lead an engaged team consisting of seven colleagues. You will become part of a large worshipping community.
As a parish priest, you are responsible for leading and distributing work in close cooperation with the dean and other parish priests. You will also participate in deanery-wide activities where we benefit from the shared resources available across the deanery's nine parishes.
The assignment includes continuing our work to build the parish with Christ at the center. At Ryds, this means, among other things, developing work with volunteers and the many students living in the area.
As a parish priest, you report to the dean, have budget and operational responsibility, and are part of the deanery's clergy and management college.
About You
We are seeking someone who is a priest in the Church of Sweden and who now wants to take on the role of parish priest at Ryds Parish – whether you are new to a management position or have previous experience. You have an interest in leadership, want to develop, and have the ability to engage, motivate, and build trust.
As new in this role, there will be substantial internal support available. We will support you in your leadership and give you the opportunity to further develop. The work often takes place in collaboration with other managers, meaning you will not stand alone in your assignment.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and seek someone who is driven and development-oriented. We would like to see that you have good decision-making ability, that you are communicative, and that you have the ability to create good cooperation.
