You are responsible for investigation, administration and dialogue with individuals and collaborative partners In your role as an insurance investigator specializing in in-depth investigation, you handle applications for sickness benefits. This may include ongoing documentation as well as calculations and payments of compensation. You work actively and make independent decisions regarding entitlement to sickness benefits by correctly and lawfully applying legislation and established work processes. The work involves conducting qualified investigations and analyses of documents, particularly medical certificates. As an insurance investigator, you investigate and clarify rehabilitation needs and work together with other stakeholders such as healthcare providers and employers to help individuals return to work as soon as possible. You work in a differentiated manner, with emphasis on early interventions based on the individual's unique situation and needs. You meet individuals and collaborative partners by phone and in writing, as well as in digital meetings when necessary. You provide and explain comprehensive information tailored to each individual's specific needs. Your interactions are characterized by attentiveness, respect, and a desire to create security and understanding of sickness insurance for both individuals and collaborative partners. You collaborate with your colleagues and actively work to develop your knowledge, share experiences, and support each other as needed. As a new employee, you will receive introductory training and support from a mentor. The position involves handling confidential information, which requires a high standard of lawful handling.
