Investigations, analyses, and teamwork As an insurance investigator, you will handle applications for assistance compensation. In this role, you meet people who, due to illness or disability, may need help with their basic needs. You conduct qualified investigations and analyses of supporting documents, primarily medical assessments, and determine whether individuals are entitled to compensation for personal assistance. You then present recommendations for decisions that are made by designated decision-makers. As an insurance investigator, you meet with the person in personal meetings, usually by phone, Skype, and in writing, but also through home visits. You are responsible for liaising and collaborating with other parties, such as municipalities, personal representatives, and health and medical services. The work tasks are largely administrative, including ongoing documentation and calculations of assistance hours. You will be part of a team that plans and distributes work. You work actively to develop your knowledge and share your experiences. As a new employee, you will receive comprehensive introductory training and support from a mentor. As an insurance investigator, you handle confidential information, which requires careful and proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have a high level of security awareness.
