The Technology and Community Services Department is a broad and socially important workplace where many competencies work together. Here we work with the entire urban development process – from government administration and planning to project implementation, operations, and service. The Technology and Community Services Department consists of business areas for community, operations, meals, and water and waste. The community business area consists of the units Project, Maintenance, Surveying, and Building and Environment. At the surveying authority, twelve people work today, and our main tasks consist of property formation and measurement as well as advice, service, and assignments within the property field. Our geographic area of operation is the entire Motala municipality, which means a broad spectrum of proceedings and assignments of both urban and rural character, which also includes water areas. The Surveying Unit is responsible for municipal measurement and map production, property formation, name and address matters. For day-to-day work within the surveying and measurement area, there are two work leaders in the unit. With us, you will work with engaged colleagues, develop within your area, and work with the most important thing there is. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS You will handle all types of surveying proceedings according to the Property Formation Act, the Facilities Act, the Easement Act, and other legislation. You work with everything from investigation, consultation, conducting meetings, legally reviewing proceedings, and participating in the ongoing detailed planning process. The work tasks also include advice and service, to both the municipality and the public, in property law matters. The work is developmental and varied. You will have the opportunity to tackle varying types of surveying proceedings. Work elements such as measurement and map work may in the future be a need within the surveying authority that you can perform within your position. At the surveying unit, you will have colleagues with high expertise including cadastral surveyors, technical surveyors, surveying engineers, and measurement engineers. Competence development and a learning organization are important to us, and you will be offered the opportunity to develop in your work through participation in courses, but you are also expected to actively contribute to our collective competence building by sharing your knowledge. QUALIFICATIONS You have at least 3 years of higher education with a focus on surveying and property formation, are a lawyer with property law expertise, or have equivalent competence that is assessed as equivalent. Experience as a cadastral surveyor is meritorious, since many of the proceedings are complex within the authority. We also welcome newly graduated applicants. Since travel occurs in the job, the work requires a B driver's license. As a person, we are looking for someone who is calm, attentive, and accommodating in your manner. You have interest, will, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. You have a high ability to plan and organize your work, work according to a clear process where you complete what you start. You set timeframes and meet deadlines, and you have good communication skills and can express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
