SKB is seeking an engaged and reliable vehicle technician/transport technician
Where you will work
The Operations and Maintenance Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of SKB's nuclear technical facilities Clab and SFR, as well as the transport system. The department has approximately 130 employees distributed across three locations: Oskarshamn, Östhammar, and Solna. At Clab, we receive and store spent nuclear fuel and fuel components from Sweden's nuclear power plants while waiting for the final repository to be built and commissioned. At SFR, we receive both operational and decommissioning waste from the nuclear power plants, and the facility is currently undergoing expansion.
What you will do
To be better prepared for the future, we are now expanding the transport group at Clab in Oskarshamn with a vehicle technician and transport technician.
Your responsibilities:
Perform service, maintenance, and troubleshooting on all terminal vehicles in SKB's transport system and other vehicles at Clab
Operate terminal vehicles for land transport of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste
Serve as transport supervisor
Carry out goods transport within the area
Work at Simpevarps harbor with reception and discharge of SKB's vessel Sigrid, as well as with loading and unloading operations
Requirements
We are looking for a vehicle technician with knowledge of heavy vehicles. It is advantageous, but not required, if you have a Class C driver's license, wheel loader certification, forklift and traverse crane certification, and knowledge of hydraulics.
You are a solution-oriented and action-oriented person who takes initiative and drives your work tasks forward with a focus on results. The work involves close collaboration both with other groups within the organization and with external suppliers, so we believe you are communicative and have strong collaboration skills. We also see that you are curious about new work areas and therefore flexible.
