Your Role As a mechanic with us, you will primarily work with preventive maintenance and improvements on LKAB's load haul dump vehicles with attached trailers, all trucks and buses, as well as some other machinery. You also handle emergency repairs. You will also independently perform some component repairs and occasionally smaller welding jobs in connection with this. The work is carried out in our service workshop underground at level 1250, but also takes place partly out in the field in the mine, which requires a high degree of organizational and safety awareness. The position also includes documentation and some troubleshooting via computer, as well as some responsibility for prioritizing work tasks. In this role, you are part of a shift team of 4 mechanics working the same hours in three-shift rotation, so it is important that you are a team player, while at the same time being confident in making your own decisions independently. What You Bring We are looking for you who have training as a vehicle mechanic, preferably for heavy vehicles. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and are looking for you who take responsibility for your work and ensure that tasks are completed in a safe and thorough manner. You collaborate well with others and feel confident in your role and dare to make your own decisions when needed. Additionally, you work solution-oriented and like to find practical and sustainable solutions when problems arise. You also have: High school education, preferably with a focus on vehicle technology or equivalent experience Class B driver's license for manual transmission Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Computer skills Meritorious Expertise and experience with electric battery vehicles Mining experience Warm welcome with your application!
