About the client company Konsultia is now seeking a dedicated and technically skilled vehicle mechanic for an exciting assignment with a client in the mining industry. The work is performed underground in a modern mining environment where you will become part of a committed team focused on safety, collaboration, and high quality. In this role, you are responsible for service, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations. Your responsibilities As a vehicle mechanic, you will be responsible for service, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of vehicles and machinery used in mining operations. The work is performed both in a workshop environment underground and in production where field repairs may occur. You will work on diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and ensure that vehicles and equipment maintain high operational reliability. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues and other functions within the operation to minimize downtime and contribute to safe and efficient production. The responsibilities include, among other things: - Service and maintenance of mining vehicles and construction machinery - Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems - Preventive maintenance according to established procedures - Emergency repairs in the workshop and in the field - Documentation of completed work in digital systems - Active work in accordance with applicable safety procedures and occupational health requirements Your profile We are looking for someone who has a genuine technical interest and experience in service, maintenance, and repair of heavy vehicles or construction machinery. You are responsible, solution-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. As a person, you have a strong safety mindset and understand the importance of working systematically and following established procedures, especially in a demanding underground work environment. To succeed in this role, we see that you have: - Completed upper secondary education - Vehicle technology education with a focus on heavy vehicles or machinery (a merit) - At least 2–3 years of experience in service and maintenance of heavy vehicles, construction machinery, or similar equipment - Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance - Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written - Category B driving license - Forklift and lifting equipment certification - Hot Work Certificate Merits - Experience with TechTool troubleshooting for trucks - Experience with TechTool and Prosis troubleshooting for load machinery - Experience with Serdia and Deutz diagnostic systems - AC certification/training - Experience of working underground or in a mining environment We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who has a high safety mindset, good teamwork skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. The work is organized on a 7–7 shift basis, meaning you work seven days followed by seven days off. Therefore, we would appreciate if you are comfortable with shift work and have the ability to adapt to this work schedule. Other information This position is a full-time temporary assignment starting August/September. There are opportunities for extension for the right person and client needs.
