About the Job Responsibilities As Fleet Manager, you are responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing our vehicle fleet in Sweden and Norway. You have overall responsibility for the vehicles' lifecycle, supplier collaborations, cost control, and technical development, with the goal of ensuring high availability, operational reliability, and sustainable solutions for the business. You are responsible for ensuring a safe, cost-effective, and sustainable vehicle fleet that meets the business's needs today and in the future. The role combines strategic responsibility with close collaboration with the operations organization, suppliers, and service shops. Your main areas of responsibility are to: Take responsibility for vehicle strategy, vehicle needs, requirement specifications, and investments in new vehicles. Lead procurement, acquisitions, and supplier collaborations related to vehicles, fuel, service, and equipment. Ensure high availability through effective management of service, maintenance, repairs, and workshop processes. Take responsibility for vehicle registers, government contacts, and compliance with laws, regulations, and internal requirements. Monitor and analyze vehicle-related key metrics such as costs, availability, operational reliability, and downtime. Coordinate vehicle transfers, modifications, lease returns, disposals, and fleet renewal. Take responsibility for standardization and development of vehicle equipment, technical solutions, and work methods. Prepare decision-making documents and drive improvement and development initiatives within the vehicle area. The role involves significant personal responsibility and offers the opportunity to actively influence the development of an extensive vehicle fleet in an operation with high demands for quality, safety, and efficiency. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a strong technical and operational profile with experience in systematically managing vehicle fleets, supplier management, and business development. We would like you to have: Technical education in vehicles, transport, logistics, or equivalent experience. Several years of experience working with vehicle fleets, heavy vehicles, or technical operations. Experience with procurement, supplier negotiations, and contract management. Good understanding of economics, investment assessments, and cost tracking. Experience with service and workshop processes. Good system skills and excellent Excel knowledge. Knowledge of Trafikverket regulations and commercial traffic. Experience from the transport, haulage, construction, or recycling industry is a plus.
