We are now seeking a federation director who wants to lead and further develop Boråsregionen together with our member municipalities. This is an assignment for someone who sees the strength in collaboration and wants to contribute to sustainable development for all of Sjuhärad.
About the Assignment
As federation director, you are Boråsregionen's highest-ranking official and lead the federation's operations on behalf of the board. You have overall responsibility for operations, finances, employees, and strategic development while representing the federation in close dialogue with member municipalities, Region Västra Götaland, state authorities, the business sector, academia, and other collaboration partners.
You lead an organization with operations in regional development, welfare development, and administration, and are responsible for translating political decisions into concrete results. The role also involves creating favorable conditions for the many networks, development projects, and collaborations that strengthen Sjuhärad's competitiveness and development.
An important part of the assignment is to unite the municipalities around common issues, identify future development opportunities, and represent Sjuhärad's shared interests at regional and national levels. You work closely with the chief executives in the member municipalities. You work long-term, build trustful relationships, and create shared understanding on issues where many perspectives must be brought together.
What We're Looking For in You
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader with strong civic engagement and a demonstrated ability to lead through trust and collaboration. You have experience from public sector operations, preferably from the municipal sector, and have held an overall leadership role where you were responsible for operations, finances, and organization, and have managed other executives.
You have good understanding of politically governed organizations and are comfortable navigating between political ambitions and operational implementation. You see the value of long-term relationships and have a natural ability to build trust with both politicians, officials, and external collaboration partners.
