The unit is relatively newly established and will grow in the future to meet residents' needs for early interventions and non-assessment-based services. It's a dedicated team passionate about preventive work and direct work with residents. The unit collaborates both internally and externally with other stakeholders. As a parental support coordinator, you will work in a supportive and preventive manner with a focus on children, youth, and their parents and other important people in their lives. The assignment involves strengthening parents in their role, contributing to safe growing conditions, and providing easily accessible advice and support at general, selective, and individual levels. You will be an important part in developing preventive work in the municipality. Evening work may occur depending on parent groups. In your role as a parental support coordinator, you will: - Offer individual support and advisory conversations to parents - Conduct parent groups and themed meetings - Work with parental support programs - Plan and implement open activities for children and parents - Collaborate with child health centers, midwifery clinics, open preschools, preschools, and schools as well as social services - Participate in outreach activities and relationship-building work in the local community What you need to bring Requirements Sociology degree or education that the employer considers equivalent Experience working with children and families Experience in parental support work and group activities Good collaboration skills and professional conduct Merits Relationship-building and attentiveness Independent and initiative-taking Structured and flexible Comfortable leading groups We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
