We are now seeking an experienced midwife for the labor and delivery service at Universitetssjukhuset in Linköping. About the Assignment As a midwife at the labor ward, you will provide safe and secure care throughout the entire delivery process. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with physicians, nursing assistants, and other professionals. Your tasks may include: • Independent midwifery work in obstetric care • Assessment and management during labor • Monitoring of mother and baby • CTG monitoring and clinical assessments • Support and information for the laboring woman and family members • Medication handling • Documentation according to departmental procedures • Management of both normal and complex delivery processes • Close collaboration with obstetricians and other professionals About You – With the Right Experience We are looking for someone who: • Is a licensed midwife • Has current and relevant experience in obstetric care • Is confident with independent work on a labor and delivery unit • Has good clinical judgment and can prioritize when situations change rapidly • Is experienced with CTG and routine labor ward tasks • Works in a structured manner with strong focus on patient safety • Has a calm and professional demeanor • Speaks Swedish fluently, both verbally and in writing Your Experience Will Be Valued Obstetric care requires both high clinical competence and the ability to create a sense of security during one of life's most significant moments.
