About Us The Pediatric Dentistry Clinic in Blekinge operates at Blekingesjukhusen in Karlskrona and Karlshamn. Most of the clinic's operations are currently centralized in Karlskrona, where we work closely with several other specialty dental care services, creating excellent opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange. Our patient base encompasses the full spectrum of pediatric dentistry services and provides broad clinical experience within the specialty. We have well-established collaboration with hospital care, general dentistry, and other specialty clinics, contributing to a stimulating and development-oriented work environment. Specialty dental care within Folktandvården Blekinge comprises approximately 70 employees. Several research projects are conducted within the clinic, including studies on surgical exposure of canines, and several specialties have ongoing specialist training programs. About the Position Are you ready to take the next step in your career as a dentist? We are currently offering an ST position in Pediatric Dentistry (national position) at Folktandvården Blekinge with service in Karlskrona and Karlshamn. Below you will find information about the required qualifications, the merit assessment principles applied, and how the appointment process for national ST positions works. Coordination of theoretical goals takes place within the Southern RSATS region. The training follows the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and general guidelines on dentists' specialist training. About You You are a licensed dentist with a strong interest in pediatric dentistry and a desire to develop within the specialty. Merit Assessment Principles Professional Experience General practice up to 5 years full-time, 1 point per six-month period from year 3 onwards (max 6 points). Part-time service is converted to full-time equivalent. Experience within and/or outside the country, in both public and private sectors, is meritorious, but the dentist or anyone in a conflict-of-interest position may not certify the experience. Within the specialty up to 1 year full-time, 1 point per six-month period. Service as a teacher within the specialty at a dental faculty/institution counts toward this. Part-time service is converted to full-time equivalent (max 2 points). Scientific Merits 1-2 publications, 1 point per publication (max 2 points). A Licentiate or Doctoral degree provides an additional 1 or 2 points respectively. Other Applicants who have demonstrated a goal-oriented interest in obtaining specialist qualification within the specified specialty—meaning completed relevant training, including project work and/or independent development work such as quality projects—are assessed positively. Other healthcare training relevant to the specialist position is assessed positively. Applicants must not have completed any other dental specialty training. Swedish and English language proficiency at level C1 is required. Region Blekinge mobilizes all permanent employees in case of war. Some of our positions are security-classified, requiring employees to undergo security clearance interviews and background checks according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). Applicants who are considered for employment must provide a copy of the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.
