Do you want to be part of creating better conditions for health throughout Kalmar County? We are now looking for a temporary public health developer who wants to help develop Region Kalmar County's work toward good and equitable health. As a public health developer, you work strategically and process-oriented, moving between analysis and action, from knowledge about the population's health to concrete development initiatives within prioritized public health areas. You will be part of an engaged team where we work together to understand how societal challenges impact health status, identify opportunities, and contribute to solutions that create a more socially sustainable Kalmar County. The work is varied and gives you good opportunities to influence how you organize your workday. You will conduct collaboration work with both internal and external activities, authorities, and civil society. You will contribute public health perspectives and expertise in regional development processes, and you will contribute to increased conditions for equity in the county's health outcomes. This position is a temporary replacement during the time one of our employees is on study leave. About You We are looking for someone with a degree in public health science or other relevant academic education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience in qualified development work within public health, social sustainability, or related areas. You have knowledge of how societal factors and living conditions are connected to people's health. To succeed in your assignment, it is important that you have experience leading processes in a strategic manner, as well as having good structure and persistence in your work. You have good ability to communicate in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Previous experience collaborating with public actors and civil society, as well as being accustomed to incorporating different cross-disciplinary perspectives in your work, is meritorious. It is also positive if you have experience working in a politically-governed organization. As a person, you are initiative-taking, creative, and see opportunities to develop working methods and collaboration based on new knowledge and changed needs. You have good ability to coordinate and develop relationships, as well as to coordinate groups and manage several complex areas simultaneously. You have good analytical ability and communicate in a way that creates understanding and participation in management groups, working groups, and networks. Since the work involves close collaboration with many different actors and involves some travel, primarily within the county, a driver's license is required. Your Future Workplace The position is placed within Regional Development Administration, Management Support, with a workplace in central Kalmar. Within regional development, we work with sustainable growth and development issues in Kalmar County. We do this by taking initiatives and coordinating efforts. We collaborate with actors in and outside the county within various areas such as public health, business, environment and climate, infrastructure, urban planning, rural areas, competence supply, culture, and library development. We create and participate in networks and also work with financing development initiatives aimed at promoting county development. We contribute to civic education through our four folk high schools; Gamleby, Kalmar, Vimmerby, and Öland, which are part of the Regional Development Administration.
