Description Welcome to Flatåsskolan, an F-6 school with approximately 600 students from preschool class through grade 6. We are now seeking a licensed afterschool teacher for a fixed-term position through the end of the year. Job Responsibilities Our afterschool programs are currently organized by grade level, with each grade consisting of three to four classes. You will work in the lower elementary afterschool program where you collaborate with colleagues to lead and stimulate students in their learning and personal development in a constructive and inspiring manner based on their individual needs. You plan, implement, and follow up on afterschool activities together with your team members. In addition to working in the afterschool program, you collaborate with your team, which consists of afterschool teachers, preschool class teachers, elementary teachers, activity leaders, and possibly student support staff. The team's role is to shape learning based on each student's needs and abilities so that they have the opportunity to progress as far as possible. During school hours, you primarily work in the classroom where you have resource assignments and supervise breaks. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed afterschool teacher. It is advantageous if you have experience with and interest in language development methods in afterschool instruction. We seek someone with an interest in developing the afterschool program and who is well familiar with the afterschool mission. You contribute new ideas and perspectives to work-related matters and in situations that need solutions. You work with low emotional reactivity and are responsive to students' different needs. You provide students with security through clear boundaries while inviting their input. Finally, you have the ability to set clear limits and be a good leader. As a newly graduated teacher, you will participate in the Municipal School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly qualified teachers.
