For our client, a global leader in the manufacturing of trucks and buses, SJR is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant for one of their accounting units. The company offers modern and attractive facilities in Södertälje with excellent commuting options. This is a full-time consulting assignment starting as soon as possible and running for 6 months, with good opportunities for extension. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the business in a dynamic environment with on-site presence five days a week.
About the Role
In this role, you will have overall responsibility for fixed assets and be a key person in taking over work from a colleague on leave. An important part of the assignment is to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and contribute to developing and streamlining work methods. In addition to fixed asset responsibilities, you will work broadly within accounting and support the team on various issues. You will be part of a senior and engaged group with a fast pace, where collaboration, flexibility, and solution-focused approaches are critical to success.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor fixed assets
- Ensure correct accounting in accordance with applicable regulations
- Conduct knowledge transfer and establish work methods in the new organization
- Work with ongoing accounting and support in tax, pensions, and other accounting areas
- Perform intercompany reconciliations
- Contribute to improvement initiatives and process development
Desired Background
We are looking for you with experience in working with fixed assets, preferably in SAP S/4HANA or a similar SAP environment. You have broad accounting expertise and are accustomed to working in larger organizations with complex structures. You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new work methods, systems, and processes. Experience working both operationally and with improvement initiatives is a plus.
