Storängsskolan is a school with students from preschool class through grade six. Each grade level has three classes. The after-school program has four departments. Do you want to work with us? The work is characterized by meetings with students individually and in groups. As a counselor in Finspångs kommun, you have support through a network of counselors at other schools in the municipality with regular meetings. Your future responsibilities You are an important part of the school's engaged student welfare team where you contribute social and psychosocial expertise at all levels of the school—individual, group, and organizational. You participate in meetings with guardians, students, and teachers and collaborate with social services and other cooperation partners when needed. You conduct support and motivation conversations with students, provide consultation with guardians, and offer support to work teams and school management. Who are you? We are looking for someone with training as a social worker or equivalent qualifications. You are confident, stable, and have good self-awareness in your professional role. You have the ability to build good relationships and communicate well with students, guardians, and other staff. You can inspire and engage students both in groups and individually and meet them based on their individual situation. You have a positive attitude and are interested in collaborating with others both within and outside the school. You can meet students in different ways and have knowledge of various methods to reach them, such as discussion groups, values exercises, role-play, drama, and similar activities.
