As a financial controller, you'll have a central role in developing analyses and decision-making materials that support prioritization, resource allocation, and follow-up. About the job The role combines qualified financial management with developing the agency's governance and monitoring. You'll be a key person in developing the Swedish Tax Agency's new financial model and help translate financial conditions into operations-focused governance. Together with your colleagues, you'll develop qualified materials supporting leadership and board priorities, resource allocation, and follow-up. You'll contribute to developing, managing, and quality-assuring the agency's processes for planning, governance, and follow-up based on the business annual cycle. This means you need to apply regulations for state finances and translate them into working methods that support efficient and appropriate governance. You'll work broadly across operations to create a holistic perspective and contribute to governance that is clear, cohesive, and based on operational needs. You'll also prepare and present matters to the management group, director-general, and board. You'll be part of the economics unit, based in Sundbyberg, Göteborg, or Östersund. The unit has 20 colleagues. About you To do a good job and thrive at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be responsive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. Good judgment and understanding of legal security and safety are important in this work. You should also live up to our employee policy. In this job you should: - Have good ability to collaborate with others and be helpful, which means you're receptive to others' perspectives and take responsibility for completing shared tasks - Have good specialist knowledge in the field, continuously develop your competence, and serve as a knowledge resource for others - Have very good analytical ability, which includes making well-founded decisions based on facts you've gathered before solving a task - Be goal-focused and contribute to achieving the organization's purpose - Have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, which means you express yourself clearly, are receptive, and adapt your communication to the recipient and situation - Be able to analyze information flows, identify connections, and make decisions You should also have: - An academic degree in economics or accounting of at least 180 hp (120 p) - At least five years of current experience with qualified financial management work in state operations with mixed financing - Relevant experience with development work in financial management, for example financial models, planning processes, or monitoring models from state agencies - Current experience developing working methods or models that strengthen the link between operations, resources, and results - At least five years of current and relevant experience with financial systems and equivalent experience with BI systems - Experience developing, quality-assuring, and presenting complex financial information to management groups - Good knowledge of regulations governing state finances and experience applying them in your work It's desirable that you have experience with various financial systems and experience with work where system support, work processes, and guidelines have been developed in a coordinated manner. Good to know The employment is permanent and can begin with a six-month probationary period. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with record check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision.
