As Finance Director, you'll have a central and strategically important role responsible for the municipality's and municipal group's financing, liquidity management, and financial risk management. Through your work, you'll contribute to long-term sustainable investments and stable economic development that creates value for residents and operations. You'll be a key person in developing the municipality's financial governance and ensuring efficient capital supply in an organization with major investment needs and high demands for good financial management. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES As Finance Director, you lead, develop, and coordinate the municipality's and municipal group's financial work. You work closely with the Finance Director, municipal leadership, political representatives, municipal companies, and departments, providing qualified analyses and strategic decision-making materials. In this role, you will, among other things: • Manage the municipality's financing, borrowing, and debt portfolio • Develop and manage the municipality's capital structure and capital management • Ensure efficient liquidity planning and cash flow management • Develop, implement, and monitor financial policy and financial guidelines • Handle guarantee issues and contribute to group-wide financial matters • Serve as contact person with banks, credit institutions, municipal companies, and municipal associations • Present financial matters to municipal leadership and political bodies • Contribute to developing the municipality's financial governance, analysis work, and internal processes You report to the Finance Director and work in a politically governed organization where strategic perspective, business sense, and social responsibility go hand in hand. You have several years of experience with qualified work in financing, borrowing, capital management, and liquidity management. Experience from the public sector is a merit, but we also welcome you if you've worked in the banking or corporate sector with capital market issues and strategic financing. You have a good understanding of financial governance, risk management, and regulations, as well as experience translating complex financial matters into clear decision-making materials. Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, you're an analytical and strategic person with a structured work approach and strong results focus. You have high integrity, good judgment, and build trust through your competence and collaborative approach. You're communicative and have the ability to explain complex financial relationships in an educational way, whether the recipient is a staff member, manager, or elected representative.
