Wermland Opera's main mission is to provide residents of Värmland and visitors with the three cornerstones of opera, musical, and orchestra productions. We stand as guarantors that our scenic and musical performances maintain the highest artistic quality. Our operations are located at Bageriet on Tullholmen and at Karlstads Teater in central Karlstad. In addition to our two concert halls, we also have 17 smaller apartments and a theater storage facility. Karlstads Teater is an old K-marked building while Bageriet is newly renovated with a K-marked facade. We are now seeking a facilities technician whose main responsibility is to manage our buildings and apartments. The role involves independent responsibility and the opportunity to plan work autonomously. Job Responsibilities You will work with daily operations, preventive and corrective maintenance in our buildings and apartments. You keep our premises clean and tidy, both inside and around them, and maintain contact and coordinate work tasks with external tradespeople, colleagues, and landlords. Alarm and key management as well as ongoing inspections of ventilation and other systems will be within your area of responsibility. Your tasks also include reporting malfunctions and registering information in operation logs and other systems. You are responsible for our conference equipment, intercom system, and company vehicle, and participate in our fire safety work. When our stages are rented to external parties, you are one of those who supports the event. Qualifications We are looking for someone with training as a facility caretaker or facilities technician, or alternatively someone who has developed the necessary knowledge through experience. It is advantageous if you have training in or experience with control and regulation technology. You have a strong ability to understand written technical information and documentation. You need to be able to communicate in Swedish both verbally and in writing and be comfortable using various digital tools in your work. As a person, you are flexible and driven by finding solutions. You have a broad technical background and feel comfortable navigating complex buildings. You are proactive and self-motivated, you see what needs to be done and take responsibility for driving work forward. We are looking for someone with the ability to prioritize and structure your work both in collaboration with others and independently. To succeed in this role, we see that you have an interest in technology, IT, and service. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities, especially your ability to be flexible, solution-oriented, and positive. Since the work involves some travel between our work locations, you need to have a B driving license. Some evening and weekend shifts may occur. The employment begins with a six-month probationary period.
