JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Property Maintenance Worker at Hallstahammar Municipality, you will have an important role in maintaining green spaces, such as grass cutting, garden care, and similar tasks, as well as various maintenance and repairs. You are comfortable communicating with tenants, handling service orders, and you're eager to pitch in where needed. You have drive, are flexible, and work well with your colleagues. Rotating on-call shifts in the evenings and weekends may occur. You will be part of a diverse and engaged team of 29 people total, including property administrators, property maintenance workers, carpenters, plumbers, operating technicians, security technicians, and IT technicians, as well as two supervisors. The unit is responsible for everything from internal and external maintenance of the municipality's properties, including locks, alarms, access control, and IT infrastructure, to property planning with maintenance schedules, and more. We are looking for someone who thrives with significant personal responsibility and planning your own work independently. You are flexible and enjoy taking your own creative initiatives in daily work. We also see that you are a good team player with strong collaboration skills. The work is performed both individually and in groups, so it is important that you are comfortable with that balance. We also see that you have a strong technical interest to thrive with us. QUALIFICATIONS Your knowledge includes Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Experience in property maintenance or other experience that the employer deems equivalent. You are comfortable using computers and mobile phones. Independence, accuracy, and good communication skills. Class B driver's license for manual transmission. Good knowledge of property management systems (e.g., Vitec, Momentum, or similar). Good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written. Meritorious: Facility care training in fire alarms/sprinkler systems. If you have experience in electrical work, construction, ventilation, or plumbing. Previous experience operating heavy machinery/equipment carrier. Good knowledge of English.
