WORK TASKS
As a Real Estate Energy Engineer at the Local Property Supply Department, you are responsible for the strategic management and development of energy and resource efficiency within the municipality's property portfolio. The role contributes to translating the municipality's energy, climate, and sustainability goals into concrete priorities, investment plans, and measurable results. Through analysis, development, and coordination, you ensure that the property portfolio develops towards reduced energy consumption, reduced climate impact, and good financial management.
Main work tasks
• Develop, enhance, and follow up on energy strategies, goals, and action plans for the property portfolio.
• Responsible for energy monitoring, analysis, and reporting of energy consumption, costs, and climate impact.
• Identify, investigate, and prioritize energy efficiency measures.
• Prepare investment documentation, profitability calculations, and lifecycle cost analyses (LCC/LCA).
• Follow up on the energy and financial results of completed investments.
• Be an expert in energy matters in new construction, renovation, and refurbishment projects.
• Formulate and follow up on energy requirements in procurement, design, and contracts.
• Monitor developments in the energy market, technology, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Work on issues related to energy supply, performance optimization, and local energy production.
• Serve as an internal specialist and advisor on energy and sustainability matters.
• Coordinate energy work between relevant functions within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has
• University education in energy, operations and energy engineering, property, civil engineering, building and energy engineering, or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
• Experience with energy work in the real estate sector.
• Experience with energy monitoring, energy efficiency, and energy analysis.
• Experience with investment calculations, economic analysis, and decision-making documentation.
• Good knowledge of energy systems and energy consumption in buildings.
• Good ability to work with data analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
• Good digital skills and experience with relevant system tools.
It is advantageous if you have
• Experience with energy management systems or energy monitoring systems.
• Background or education as an electrical engineer.
• Experience with project management or development work.
