Region Uppsala is a rapidly growing organization where Property and Services form a central part. The management handles over one billion kronor in turnover and has approximately 400 employees. Operations include development, management and maintenance of approximately 760,000 square meters of premises – from modern healthcare buildings to historic properties.
In addition to property management, the department is also responsible for transportation, logistics solutions and meal services within the region. Customers are primarily within healthcare, where Akademiska Hospital is the largest.

Our Operations
The Property Department is responsible for developing and managing Region Uppsala's properties and providing premises in both owned and leased buildings. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the region's operations where premises are adapted for everything from advanced healthcare and public transport to cultural and administrative purposes.
The department currently consists of nine property managers. The workplace is located in modern premises at Akademiska Hospital in Uppsala.
We are now seeking a property manager who wants to help create efficient and fit-for-purpose premises in a technically advanced environment. The role offers developmental work at a stable and long-term employer.
Your Assignment
As a property manager, you are the customer responsible for your own property portfolio and work in close collaboration with tenants, property manager, property strategist, technical manager, project department, accountants and other functions. You have a central role as project owner in both small and large renovation and new construction projects, where you are responsible for formulating requirements, managing projects and monitoring quality, economy and timelines.
You have overall responsibility for your projects and ensure they are completed efficiently and in line with set objectives and operational needs. You also have ongoing budget responsibility for your area, which means you handle invoices and prepare materials for monthly reports, forecasts and budget work. Furthermore, you are responsible for preparing decision-making materials ahead of property investments, writing official statements and being the presenter in committees.
In the role you represent the departments in dialogue with internal and external parties and are responsible for agreements in external leasing, including calculation and negotiation of rental levels.
The work is varied and developmental, with broad responsibility and continuous new challenges that require both structure, business acumen and collaboration skills.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone with several years of experience from an administrative or management role within the property sector. The work requires good knowledge of property economics and lease law as well as an understanding of how these areas are integrated into project and management processes. Education in property management or documented experience as a property manager is a requirement.
Experience of working in a project environment is a requirement, as is experience in project management or project ownership where you have had responsibility for management, monitoring and results. We also note that you have experience working in a politically governed organization.
You have good system skills and knowledge of Faciliate, Master Concept and Agresso is advantageous. You master Swedish well in both speech and writing. As the position may involve travel within the region, a B driving license is a requirement.

The position is full-time permanent. Appointment as soon as possible by agreement. You are based at Akademiska Hospital, with the possibility of working partially remotely.
