What You'll Do
In your role as Fresh Produce Manager, you'll be responsible for your departments and your staff. You'll help ensure the store is well-run seven days a week. You'll be responsible for purchasing, sales, and profitability, as well as ensuring your departments achieve the store's shared goals. The customer is at the heart of our business, so daily customer contact is important for creating a positive store experience and ensuring your departments offer a modern and inviting assortment. Together with your team, you'll ensure the store maintains the highest quality and that routines are followed. As Fresh Produce Manager, you'll have personnel responsibility for your team of skilled employees. This includes ensuring staff receives the right information, develops professionally, and feels valued, while maintaining smooth store operations. You'll also be part of the store's management team.
What We Expect
Being interested in food, skilled at driving sales, and enjoying working with people are prerequisites for this role. You should also have your own drive to work in an entrepreneurial environment with a high tempo. Additionally, you need to be comfortable working with financial key figures and have experience working in a store. We believe that being a successful Fresh Produce Manager requires you to be interested in food, structured, analytical, engaged, and passionate about developing yourself and your team. Since you'll be leading and developing your employees, you need to be good at explaining routines, describing the store's goals and challenges. It's equally important that you can delegate work, give and receive feedback, and are comfortable driving through changes.
