Job Responsibilities
The position is primarily located at Universitetssjukhuset in Örebro, but you will also need to be prepared for regular work at Lindsberg or Karlskoga Hospital one or several days per week.
As a pharmacist with us, you will become part of a hospital pharmacy operated directly by the region. This means short decision-making processes, close collaboration with healthcare, and great opportunities to influence and develop work methods and processes. The Hospital Pharmacy has over 30 employees and is part of the Pharmaceutical Center's operations. In total, we are over 70 colleagues working for the best possible pharmaceutical use in Region Örebro County. Your tasks will include:
- Pharmaceutical supply to all hospitals in the county
- Pharmaceutical services at hospital departments
- Sterile drug manufacturing and chemotherapy preparation
There may also be an opportunity to combine the position with administrative tasks based on the needs of the operation and your interests. We try to offer positions with varying tasks as it is important to understand the full scope of pharmaceutical supply and for a good work environment. Some tasks involve repetitive elements, which is why we see variation as particularly important.
Working hours are primarily scheduled on weekdays between 07:00-17:00. On special occasions and during long holidays, weekend work may occur. For experienced manufacturing pharmacists, on-call duty of approximately six weeks per year is also included.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a licensed pharmacy technician or pharmacist. If you are a pharmacy technician, experience with manufacturing skills (ex tempore training) is advantageous. If you lack such experience, we preferably want someone with an interest and willingness to train in this area in the future. Sterile manufacturing training can be partially offered during work hours.
Working at a hospital pharmacy requires that you are confident in your role and can work independently, while teamwork and collaboration with different professions is important. You should work in a structured and quality-conscious manner while delivering within deadlines every day.
