Each preparation is manufactured for a specific patient and used in treating seriously ill patients. This provides a clear sense of meaning and significance in daily work. At the Medicinal Preparations unit at Linköping University Hospital, we work closely with care to manufacture individually customized medicines for each patient. With short lead times and high quality standards, we deliver cytostatics and sterile preparations that are crucial for care's treatments – work where pharmacy meets real patient benefit. We're looking for you, who want to use your expertise in an operation where quality, responsibility, and collaboration are central. You'll join a cheerful and engaged team that supports each other and tackles new challenges together. You follow the medicine all the way: from pre-checking the order, through manufacturing, to final testing where quality and patient safety are in focus. Our working hours vary between 07:00-17:00 on weekdays. Once you're comfortable with all procedures, you'll become an extemporaneous pharmacist on call, which means a pharmacist is on standby at home to meet care's urgent needs outside our opening hours. Don't hesitate – apply for a pharmacy job that's different! Work Group The Medicinal Center has undergone numerous changes over several years and has grown many times in scope and mission. The Medicinal Center comprises three units: clinical pharmacology, hospital pharmacy, and the hospital pharmacy services, and has staff at all three hospitals in Region Östergötland. The Center also includes research and education at both basic and advanced levels, in line with university healthcare's mission. The Hospital Pharmacy, which includes medicinal preparations, is in an expansive development phase and is building up medicine inventory management under regional control, with a planned start in early 2028. We believe you'll thrive! About You You are a licensed pharmacist or pharmacy technician with extemporaneous authorization. For those who are a licensed pharmacy technician but lack extemporaneous authorization, we offer a course in extemporaneous medicine manufacturing starting December 3, 2026. The course is 7.5 credits and offered remotely through Umeå; it provides full extemporaneous authorization. You have either worked for a few years or are newly graduated. However, it's a merit if you've previously worked in medicine manufacturing. Fluid Swedish at C1 or C2 level is required. Since standby will be part of the position, a driver's license and access to your own car is required if you don't live near Linköping University Hospital.
