X-trafik's mission is to develop and coordinate public transportation in Region Gävleborg for as many people as possible, for a sustainable future. The department consists of five units. The Customer and Sales unit's primary mission is to get more people to travel by public transportation by changing people's behavior. Within the unit, 24 employees work with customer service, communication, development of sales channels, ticket administration, and fare inspections. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Fare Inspector, you work to create a pleasant atmosphere in public transportation. The position involves a large number of interactions with people, where your task is to inform, assist, and guide customers in an exemplary manner in various situations that may arise. As a Fare Inspector with us, you will, among other things: • check that customers are traveling on the correct ticket on buses and trains and, if necessary, issue a supplementary fare • inform, assist, and guide customers in a correct and trustworthy manner regarding questions about travel, traffic, and tickets • work with some administrative tasks and case handling. As a Fare Inspector, you should have: • completed upper secondary education • experience working in customer service and having direct customer contact • good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form • a B-class driver's license.
