The workload is reasonable with close and accessible management. During temporary busy periods, we address challenges together through good planning, collaboration, and flexible solutions. The workplace is centrally located in Upplands Väsby, within walking distance to commuter trains, buses, and services. In spring 2027, we will also move into a brand new and modern municipal building in an even better location, right next to public transportation. About Us The Family Court is part of the municipality's social and care office. Currently, nine family court secretaries, a unit manager, deputy unit manager, and an administrative assistant work at the family court. The team also includes a senior caseworker who supports and supervises colleagues, provides qualified support in complex cases, and is an important resource in the organization's development work. We serve Sollentuna, Upplands Väsby, and Vallentuna municipalities and offer varied and exciting work in an innovative and engaged work group. Collaboration and the diverse work experience within the team are key to our important work. About the Position As a family court secretary, you will be responsible for typical family law tasks, both on application from parents or by assignment from the district court, such as: Information meetings Quick inquiries Custody, residence, and visitation investigations Collaboration meetings Agreements Parenthood investigations Adoption investigations We have a structured and well-functioning operation for visitation support at our local facility. The work tasks also include group activities for children and parents. Our reception unit offers a high degree of accessibility and service for those seeking our advice. We work across unit boundaries in all our municipalities and also have regular digital collaboration with newly hired staff within social services through our live-streamed webinars. In two of our municipalities, we have also launched the digital tool SESfamily. Are You the Person We're Looking For? We are looking for someone with: Approved degree in social work Previous experience in family law work or within a child and youth authority A strong child rights perspective and good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish Driver's license category B We are looking for someone who is empathetic, attentive, and has strong communication skills. You have a natural ability to build trusting relationships, make professional assessments, and meet people with respect and understanding. You are collaboration-oriented, comfortable making decisions even in complex situations, and can handle meetings with high conflict levels in a calm, objective, and diplomatic manner. You are organized and have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and organize your work. You work independently when needed, while also being an appreciated team player who contributes to a good work climate. Our telephone reception is a central function, and we are looking for someone who enjoys a varied workday, can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and provides guidance and support that makes a difference for parents and families. At the social and care office, we work with everything from adoption matters to end-of-life care.
