Family Law Southwest is a unit within the Department of Individual and Family Care in the Hägersten-Älvsjö District Administration. We are a shared family law office serving the districts of Hägersten-Älvsjö and Skärholmen. We are a committed work group with high expertise and diverse ages who enjoy working together. The unit consists of a unit manager, team leaders, 14 family law secretaries, and an administrative assistant. Our work group is characterized by collegial learning and interest in development. The group currently has several ongoing projects including iRiSk and ikläm. We provide training in Hela barn (Whole Child) and conduct group activities for both children and parents. The workplace is centrally located near Telefonplan subway station, just over 10 minutes from T-centralen. Since the work often involves meeting people in complex life situations, it is important that you can convey hope and treat people respectfully. The work includes custody, residence, and visitation investigations on behalf of the court, collaborative meetings, contract cases, parenthood investigations, consent and adoption cases, and informational conversations. We have a well-functioning visitation support service that two case handlers are responsible for. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for someone with an accredited social worker degree and experience working within social services. You should have excellent ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish. It is advantageous if you have experience with qualified investigative work in family law or within child and youth services, as well as relevant further education in various areas of family law such as Hela barn (Whole Child) and Mina föräldrar är skilda (My Parents Are Divorced). Family law work is enjoyable and stimulating but also challenging. Therefore, it is required that you are stable, thorough, and courageous. The work tasks require that you have good collaboration skills. We will place great importance on personal suitability and what additional competence our group needs. Upon employment, a criminal record extract must be presented. Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
