Hemnovia is growing and is now seeking a structured and dedicated family home assessor on a full-time basis. This is a specialized assessment role for someone who is passionate about assessment and evaluation and who sees the value in establishing placements that endure over time. You will work from our office at Odinslundsgatan in Örgryte, Gothenburg. About the role As a family home assessor, you are responsible for assessing and evaluating families who want to open their homes to children and young people as foster families and emergency care providers. You ensure that the right families enter the organization: work that requires thoroughness, good judgment, and respectful treatment throughout the process. Your main responsibilities: Plan and conduct family home assessments, often according to Kälvesten or BRA-fam depending on the assignment Meet with families through in-depth interviews and home visits Obtain and review register excerpts, references, and other documentation Compile well-substantiated assessments and written evaluations Work according to established procedures, guidelines, and timelines Contribute to the quality of the organization and development of assessment work We are looking for someone who has Relevant higher education of at least 180 credits, such as social worker, behavioral scientist, or social pedagogue Experience assessing and evaluating foster families Experience in social work, preferably with children, young people, or families Very strong written communication skills and experience working systematically with documentation and assessments Ability to work independently and make professional, well-reasoned decisions Class B driver's license and good driving skills, as travel and home visits are part of the position Meritorious qualifications include training in established assessment methods such as Kälvesten and BRA-fam.
