Description We are seeking two dedicated Foster Care Coordinators for Foster Care Unit 2 for permanent placements at Foster Care Services Hisingen! Are you a trained social worker with experience in social investigation work and interested in foster care? Then this may be the opportunity you've been waiting for! Foster Care Services Hisingen consists of two units where Foster Care Unit 2 works with permanent placements and Foster Care Unit 1 works with on-call services, recruitment, and contact families/persons. Our services prioritize and actively work to ensure that foster care is of high quality, to secure the situation of placed children, and to ensure that our foster families receive the support they need. Responsibilities Your main task will be to assess prospective foster families and to mentor and support foster families in ongoing placements. You will also handle agreements and finances. A significant part of the work involves collaboration and cooperation with the child's social worker and other actors around the placed child, both internally and externally. We want to give new colleagues a warm welcome and it is important to us that you feel included. We are close to both the unit manager and senior social worker who have extensive experience in foster care and know what we handle in our assignments. The work is conducted during daytime hours. Some flexibility is needed as we sometimes visit and meet our foster families in the evenings. Shorter and longer travel is also part of the position, which is why a driver's license is a requirement. You will be offered continuous training in how to support and mentor foster families as well as external supervision. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is responsible, stable, secure, and flexible, with a good ability to understand complex situations. Requirements: Social work degree Experience working in Foster Care or a Child and Youth Authority B-class driver's license Good Swedish language skills, both verbal and written Good computer skills Meritorious: Kälvesten and/or mentor training for foster families Other You need to bring a passport/national ID and possibly proof of residence permit if you hold citizenship outside the EU/EES to your interview.
