About the Position As a family home consultant, you are responsible for recruiting, assessing, training, supervising, and following up on family homes and emergency care homes. You play a central role in ensuring that placed children and young people receive a secure and sustainable family foster care placement. At the same time, you have the opportunity to influence the continued development of the operation by contributing ideas, experience, and commitment to strengthening and developing family foster care. Your responsibilities include: Recruiting and assessing new family homes and emergency care homes Assessing families' capacity to receive placed children and young people Providing support, supervision, and guidance to family homes Conducting home visits and follow-ups Participating in placements, replacements, and terminations Collaborating with social services, guardians, schools, healthcare, and other relevant actors Participating in network meetings, care planning, and follow-up meetings Documenting interventions and preparing reports in accordance with applicable legislation and operational procedures Contributing to quality work, development, and recruitment of new family homes This is a full-time position with daytime working hours on weekdays. A 6-month probationary period applies. The office is located in central Gothenburg with the possibility of some remote work. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to children and young people and who is motivated by making a difference. You are comfortable in a role where you combine independent responsibility with close collaboration and cooperation with family homes, social services, and other important actors. As a person, you are confident, have good judgment, and the ability to build long-term and trustful relationships. You are organized, take initiative, and handle challenging situations with both professionalism and a solution-focused approach.
