We work closely with social services and put the child's safety at the center. We are a growing organization with short decision-making paths and leadership that is close, present, and supportive even when you are working further away from our head office in Gothenburg. About the Role As a family home consultant in Skåne, you are our local face. You are responsible for a number of foster families and serve as their most important professional support in daily life: from recruitment and matching to ongoing supervision and follow-up. You work from your home and plan much of your own workday with home visits and meetings as a natural part of your routine. Your introduction and training will initially take place at our office in Gothenburg, and you will return there regularly for team meetings and check-ins. About the Work Area: Your base is Skåne, but assignments regularly occur in Kronoberg, Halland, and Blekinge, among others. When recruiting new foster families, occasional travel within the broader region may occur. You will, among other things: Supervise and support foster families in their assignments, even in complex situations Conduct home visits and follow up on ongoing placements Collaborate with social services, schools, and other stakeholders around the child Document and report continuously to the client and to the team in Gothenburg Recruit, investigate, and match foster families in the region Participate in on-call duties according to a rotating schedule We Are Looking for You If You Have a degree in social work or equivalent higher education degree in social work with experience in social work, ideally with children and youth. You are a secure and solution-oriented person who navigates confidently in complex relationships between foster families, children, biological networks, and social services. Since you work independently most of the time, it is important that you are self-driven, structured, and comfortable with your own responsibility, while also valuing and actively seeking contact with the team. You also have: Good knowledge of current legislation, particularly SoL and LVU Supervisor training for foster families (requirement) Ability to maintain focus and structure even when the pace is high, without daily office presence A warm and professional demeanor when meeting with foster families and children Class B driving license and your own car – the position involves regular home visits and travel in the region (reimbursement according to applicable rates) Residence in Skåne Meritorious Experience in family foster care, investigations, or supervision of foster families Training in BBIC, MI, Signs of Safety, or Ett hem att växa i Training in assessment methods for foster families, such as Kälvesten Previous experience working from home/remotely in a similar role We Offer A role where you make a real difference for children and youth every day Great freedom to plan your own workday Regular visits to our office in Gothenburg for team meetings and check-ins Regular supervision and an individual professional development plan Wellness allowance and occupational pension A committed team with high expertise, even if the distance is sometimes greater Practical Information Interviews are held on a rolling basis, initially digitally.
