About the Job Do you want to make a real difference for children and young people? We are seeking individuals who want to become foster families and experienced foster families who can offer a safe, stable, and developmentally supportive home environment for children and young people who, for various reasons, cannot remain with their guardians. As a foster family, you become an important part of a child's daily life and development. The role involves providing care, security, structure, and support while working closely with social services, schools, healthcare, and our foster family consultants. Responsibilities As a foster family, you are responsible for: Providing the child with a safe and stable home environment. Creating clear routines and predictability in daily life. Supporting the child in schooling, leisure activities, and social development. Participating in meetings with social services, schools, and other collaborating partners. Documenting important events and contributing to the child's implementation plan. Working based on the child's individual needs and development. Collaborating with the child's biological network when applicable to the assignment. We are looking for someone who Has experience as a foster family, emergency foster family, or other documented experience working with children and young people. Has a stable and safe home with space for a placed child. Has good collaborative skills and can work with various authorities and professionals. Is calm, secure, and has the ability to set clear boundaries with warmth and respect. Has good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Has organized finances and a stable life situation. Is flexible and can adapt to the child's needs. It is advantageous if an adult in the family has education or professional experience in, for example, social work, healthcare, treatment, education, or other activities with children and young people. Qualifications To become a foster family, you need to: Be at least 28 years old. Have a valid B-class driving license and access to a car. Have a separate room for the placed child. Be approved through a foster family assessment. Be able to provide excerpts from the Police's suspicion and criminal records register, as well as registers from Kronofogden, Försäkringskassan, Transportstyrelsen, LOB, and Social Services according to applicable regulations.
