The Social Services Department has a broad area of responsibility that includes exercising authority and preventive measures, with an intake and assessment unit, open care, family law, financial assistance, and an operational unit that works with preventive measures. 2 position(s). DUTIES Are you a committed family therapist who wants to work therapeutically with children and families? Then you might be the right person for our school team, which is an important link between school, family, and social services. For two years, the Social Services Department has built a team of five family therapists working with several of the municipality's schools. The team works with individual cases and serves as a link between students, families, schools, and social services. You will work together with the school's student support team and social services. The target group for this work is children and youth from preschool through grade 6 with emerging behavioral issues who have been referred directly to the school team by the school. An important part of the work is to work therapeutically, collaboratively, and in a structured manner. The team's work is based on a systemic approach and therapeutic work includes the child's entire network. The school team has a clear framework for the work process. As a family therapist in the Sigtuna school team, you are part of the treatment services department, which is responsible for all subsidized treatment measures within the Social Services Department. We want to use the expertise in the department in the wisest way possible, and there is an expectation that you will also contribute to that development when needed. We simply help each other to offer the best possible measures to our residents. The work is led by a unit manager who has extensive experience in family therapy and social services. As an employee, you have access to regular and structured case supervision of high quality. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has other academic education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working within the social services field and you have experience with therapeutic work with families. Further education in systemic family therapy is a merit. Work is conducted at school, in homes, and at social services offices. Since the work will largely be conducted in a school environment where you will be alone in your professional role, it is very important that you have a clear understanding of and knowledge of the social services mandate so that you feel secure in your professional role. You are organized and work according to a clear process where you have the ability to organize and plan your work well. You complete what you start. You are calm and handle stress constructively, which enables you to maintain a good mood even under pressure and adversity. You have a good ability to collaborate with other people and you take active initiative in professional social settings where you create contacts and maintain relationships. You have a clear child-focused perspective. Great weight will be placed on personal maturity and suitability. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent.
