The Employment and Social Services Administration in Lund Municipality is now seeking an engaged family counselor for our school social team. About the role and your responsibilities School social teams offer early, preventive, and coordinated interventions to strengthen students' attendance, participation, and ability to take part in teaching. The interventions are directed towards secondary school students. As a family counselor in the school social team, you are part of the Early Support unit within Child, Youth and Family Support at the Employment and Social Services Administration, while simultaneously being an integrated part of the school's operations and working in close collaboration with student health services, sociopedagogues, and other school staff. At Early Support, you have colleagues with similar assignments and access to professional support and experience exchange. Much of the work will be carried out at Nyvångsskolan, which is located in Dalby. The assignments are guided by students' needs, and therefore we want you to have solid knowledge of social services' mission and broad experience in social work as well as knowledge of school and student health issues. You need to be able to work both independently and in teams to establish good cooperation with children, parents, and colleagues. - Provide support to children, young people, and their guardians. - Strengthen collaboration between home, school, and social services. - Contribute to preventing school absenteeism and promoting school attendance. - Participate in mapping, planning, and implementing interventions. - Collaborate with various professionals from school and social services. - Contribute a social perspective to student-focused work. The position is a project-based employment within the school social team. The operations are financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Presentia project, which aims to strengthen children's and young people's school attendance through early, coordinated, and preventive interventions. We are looking for you We are looking for someone who has a social worker degree or other education with 180 credits that the employer deems equivalent. We place great emphasis on you having experience supporting children and parents as well as experience working in social services and schools. It is a merit if you have training and knowledge in proven methods for mapping, parenting support, and neurodevelopmental disabilities. We also see it as a merit to have experience working across professions. The work is guided by families' needs, and you need to be able to make important prioritizations in various situations that arise, sometimes of an acute nature. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English as well as experience working with the Office package in Windows.
