Family Therapist for Open Youth Care

Youth Open Care is seeking a new colleague. The unit has 15 therapists who are passionate about children and young people growing up in good living conditions. Open Care is facing an exciting development where services are being developed in close collaboration with other important stakeholders such as the regional health authority and the Police. We constantly strive to develop and adapt to the needs we encounter in children and young people to provide good care. Children and Youth is based on the principles of the Signs of Safety approach. Your work tasks As a family therapist, you will work with support services and treatment in families with socially complex life situations, with the goal of helping families find the right strategies to create lasting and positive change. This is work for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with people in difficult life situations. The work you perform contributes to vital change in people's lives. You will have the opportunity to largely design and plan your own workday, but you need to be flexible and find functioning solutions. The starting point is that the work is conducted in environments deemed most appropriate, which can be in the home, digital communication, in public environments, at school, etc. The assignment involves collaborating extensively with other functions, such as investigating social workers, other therapists in the unit, and external partners. Who are you? At Youth Open Care, you represent the Social Services for Children and Youth to clients, citizens, and collaboration partners. You therefore possess broad knowledge of social services' authority, services, and care and treatment work and can make independent assessments in cases. Requirements: - Social Worker degree or equivalent education and experience in treatment work with young people and families - Driver's license (Category B) - Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing - Good computer skills and proficiency in the Office package Meritorious: - Step 1 trained family therapist - Trained in Functional Family Therapy (FFT) - Experience working in the Combine system - Experience with Signs of Safety Personal qualities: - You are engaged and motivated in your mission and see people's potential for change and view the young person's network as a resource. - You are flexible and solution-focused. - You have good self-awareness and work independently and in a structured manner. - You contribute to a good work climate characterized by collaboration and focus on the mission. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Other information Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period. Södertälje Municipality uses competence-based recruitment methodology in order to prevent discrimination and promote diversity in the workplace. We have many positions where we conduct background checks. A record excerpt (criminal and suspicion register) from the Police Authority may therefore need to be presented by the candidate before a decision on employment. An employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our assignments in security classification, Swedish citizenship is required.
