As a family therapist, you will be part of the Child and Family Services unit. The team consists of two social secretaries, one youth case officer, one school social worker, one foster care secretary, one intake secretary, three family therapists, and one family support specialist. The unit also includes short-term care and leisure activities for children who are part of the LSS services target group. Job Responsibilities At the outpatient care facility in Norberg, children and their families are offered services without needs assessment, which means family therapists can provide services to families before there is a need for official intervention. As a family therapist in Norberg, you work based on evidence-based methods to help individuals achieve independence. The work is conducted based on decisions made by the municipality, services provided without needs assessment, and preventive services. You work in close collaboration with the entire social services office, and the child and family unit operates on a network basis using the Signs of Safety approach. To identify families in need of support at an early stage, collaboration with schools and the Family Center has been strengthened, and family therapists participate in activities and collaboration groups. Qualifications You collaborate well with others and contribute to good cooperation with both internal and external partners. You have a solution-focused approach and work with a family orientation to ensure that children can live at home under good conditions. Education as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or social pedagogue is beneficial, though great importance is placed on personal suitability.
