Job Description
SiS Youth Home Margretelund is now seeking two family treatment specialists who want to make a vital difference for vulnerable young people. Our target group is young people aged 16-21 placed under the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) and in some cases the Act on Special Supervision of Young People (LSU). Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, commitment, and mindset. In your role as a family treatment specialist, you are responsible for working with the young people's families and networks with the aim of creating participation and cooperation that contributes to positive treatment outcomes.
The tasks are varied and include family therapeutic interventions, psychoeducational initiatives, parent training programs, assessment activities, and participation in network meetings and follow-ups. The role also involves close contact with both young people and treatment staff on the units. Work with each individual young person is conducted through team collaboration with a psychologist, treatment secretary, unit staff, nurse, and teacher. The family treatment specialist has the opportunity to largely shape and plan their workday through digital communication, visits, and home visits based on the young people's needs.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is the key to being able to influence and create change. Therefore, we are looking for someone with the ability to build alliances with young people, families, and networks. You have a positive view of people and your drive is to work with people in vulnerable situations. You share SiS' values—being a place for change—and your approach and mindset are characterized by our guiding principles: Respect, Care, and Clarity. The role requires personal maturity that allows you to inspire both hope and confidence, while also having the ability to highlight difficulties within young people's families and networks to contribute to change. You have pedagogical skills and can serve as a positive role model in parent training programs. You work well with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.
You must have:
University degree as a social worker or other behavioral science-related education, or alternative education combined with relevant work experience that the employer deems equivalent.
Driver's license category B
