Make a difference – build tomorrow's support for youth and their families At SiS youth home Ljungaskog, we are now taking an important step forward by introducing a new role as family and network therapist. This is your chance to be part of it from the start and shape support that truly makes a difference for young people and their loved ones. As a family and network therapist, you will become a central part of our work to strengthen relationships, create security, and give young people the best conditions for a positive future. Here you will have the opportunity to develop working methods and influence how we work with families and networks at our youth homes. Job Description As a family and network therapist at SiS youth home Ljungaskog, you will have a key role in strengthening the relationships between placed youth, their families, and networks. Your work aims to promote positive communication, mobilize support in young people's networks, and strengthen parents' capabilities. You will work with families, parents, and professional actors. Your main responsibilities include: Building relationships and cooperation with parents, families, and networks both privately and professionally. You prepare and follow up on visits to the youth home and plan and evaluate young people's stays at home. Supporting parents by helping them adapt to their children's needs. You conduct family therapy conversations, individual parent sessions, psychoeducational interventions, and parental support programs (e.g., Komet). Participating in meetings with the family's network and professional actors. You establish contact with young people and treatment staff in the departments. Collaborating in treatment teams together with psychologists, treatment secretaries, department staff, nurses, and teachers. You are responsible for the young person's treatment sub-goals related to family. Working flexibly with both digital and physical communication, including meetings at the youth home and, where applicable, in families' homes. Adapting working hours as needed, which may include work outside regular office hours on occasion. Travel may occur in connection with young people's trips home or relocation. Contributing to good results by handling other tasks relevant to the role, such as contact with social services, cooperation with other family therapists, and participation in internal and external handovers. Qualifications We are looking for you with a relevant university degree, such as a social worker or other behavioral science education. Alternatively, equivalent experience and knowledge that we assess as equivalent. It is an asset if you have level 1 competence in psychotherapy (family or CBT focus). To succeed in the role of family and network therapist, you need: Experience with family therapy, parental support programs, or other manual-based treatment methods Experience meeting people in vulnerable situations, preferably within treatment in 24-hour care or secure environments Good ability to build relationships and establish trust Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both in writing and speech Category B driver's license and access to a car Your personal suitability is crucial for the role of family and network therapist.
